Bridging the Gap between the Police, Community and Educators.

Founded by Police Officers, The Bears in Blue Foundation is a not-for-profit charity

organized to supply teddy bears, journals and baby bags to first responders,

school officials and crisis workers who  come in contact with youth in crisis situations. Psychological studies have proven that transitional objects have a significant

calming effect on children in stressful or traumatic circumstances.

Since our conception in 2011, The Bears in Blue Foundation has launched a "Trifecta approach" to reaching out to children in crisis.

"Beacon the Bear" who is becoming nationally known as the Police Bear across the United States, is being given to children ages 0-7 who are victims of child abuse, neglect, abandonment and domestic violence.

"Bella's Beacon Journal is being given to victim's of child abuse, neglect, domestic violence and at risk youth who are 8 years of age and older.

"Beacon's NO Bullying" work shops are currently underway in the Chicagoland area.

Through the trifecta approach that we have instituted, Beacon's crusade and outreach work is growing and reaching more youth than ever before.

The Bears in Blue Foundation supplies Beacon the Bear to the Chicago Police Department, Schiller Park, Illinois Police Department, Lyons, Illinois Police Department, McCook, Illinois  Police Department, Berwyn, Illinois Police Department, three homeless shelters throughout Illinois.

The Fishers Police Department in Fishers, Indiana has joined Beacon's crusade!  We have crossed the border and are now recognized in two States!
